LCL Shipments & Consolidation
Cost-Effective Shipping for Smaller Cargo
LCL (Less than Container Load) shipments are the most cost-effective way to ship internationally when cargo volumes don't fill a full 20-ft or 40-ft container. At Dhanraj & Sons, we offer professional LCL consolidation and deconsolidation services that let you share container space with other shippers — you pay only for the cubic metres (CBM) you actually use.
Our LCL services run weekly from all major Indian ports — JNPT (Nhava Sheva) and Mumbai Sea Port — to key destinations in the USA, Canada, UK, Germany, Netherlands, Middle East (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar), South-East Asia (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand), Australia and Africa. Inbound LCL consignments are handled with equal efficiency through our CFS partners and in-house customs clearing team.
We manage the end-to-end LCL process: pickup from your factory, professional packing and consolidation, issuance of House Bill of Lading, export customs clearance, ocean transit tracking, destination deconsolidation and final delivery. With transparent per-CBM pricing and no hidden charges, LCL consolidation from Dhanraj & Sons is ideal for SME exporters, e-commerce sellers, sample shipments and replenishment orders.

Frequently Asked Questions
There is no strict minimum for LCL shipments. Whether you have 1 CBM or 15 CBM of cargo, LCL allows you to ship without paying for a full container. You only pay based on the volume (CBM) or weight of your cargo.
LCL pricing is typically based on the greater of actual weight or volume (calculated as Length x Width x Height in meters = CBM). We provide transparent quotes with all charges clearly itemized.
Yes, with proper packaging. We ensure professional packing and careful consolidation. For fragile or high-value goods, we recommend additional packaging protection and cargo insurance.
LCL transit is typically 2–5 days longer than FCL because of consolidation at origin and deconsolidation at destination. Mumbai to US East Coast averages 30–35 days, to Europe 25–28 days, and to Middle East 12–15 days, port-to-port.
As a rule of thumb, if your cargo exceeds 15 CBM (for a 20-ft) or 25–28 CBM (for a 40-ft), FCL often becomes cheaper. We evaluate both options when you request a quote and recommend whichever is more economical for your volume and route.
